fun home projects...

Since living in our new home for almost 2 months, the projects have begun....

It all started with my obsession with chalkboard paint. I have used it to paint labels on my food storage containers, spice jars, memo frames and many others. Here are some of the projects:

I also got into the habit of re-using old things and turning them into something marvelous =] For example, my Ragu Spaghetti Sauce jars + some roping... add some of your favorite flowers, and viola!!
Stay tuned... more to come <3

:Craft Time:

So I am very tired of searching for my crochet hooks all of the time I want to start making something.... hence I took some action!

I began to search online for ideas and see different ideas that I liked... I concluded on this fine piece of work :]

this case is made for knitting needles, but I will substitute it with crocheting hooks!

I'm going to buy me some cute fabric and start this project immediately so my craftiness can stay neat and organized like I try to keep everything else:]

Pictures to come soon.... Stay tuned :]

[life of a busy lady...]

:Friday: baked some chocolate chip cookies and a yummy lemon pound cake for Malachi's Birthday party... it was my first time( for the cake), and definitely not the last :]

:Saturday: Got everything ready for the birthday party and headed to the Brunswick Zone for some good bowling fun with friends! After some fun memories and singing and eating cake in the parking lot, we headed back to the house for  a nice bonfire.

:Sunday: I made some more headbands, clips and such... I have been selling them so if you like some that you see, let me know :]

:Monday: Worked a 9 hour day, stopped by and surprised my birthday boy at work for lunch, went grocery shopping for dinner, make a cheesecake and stuffed peppers for dinner. SUCCESS!!!

** I might always be on the go and running around, but I wouldn't have it any other way, especially when it is doing some of the things I love to do and doing things for the people I love most.**

crocheted headbands galore

About a month ago when I was making a scarf I learned how to make crocheted flowers. I absolutely loved the flowers I had made and decided I would make a headband out of it.

So that is what I did, after many compliments and me constantly wearing it, I tucked this idea in my creative file in my brain :]

Which brings me to now... I was going out the other day and wanted to just throw my hair back and not worry about it, but I didn't have a cute headband to wear. Not having to take a second thought, I grabbed my yarn and crochet hooks and began to work. In about 15-20 minutes this was what I was looking at and it made me oh so very happy!!!

I was ecstatic!!! I loved loved loved it! So off I went out to show the world... I had received many compliments about my headband and was asked where I got it. When I went into explaining that I made it they were amazed.

Needless to say that night I made two more headbands... but for a sweet little baby girl that will be coming into the world so soon <3 From posting some pictures I already had a handful of people interested in purchasing some headbands. So with some orders placed and more creative juices flowing I will be making and selling crocheted headbands. I will be creating an Etsy account soon enough and will post all of my creations.
